Liverpool’s Saturday transfer rumours: Divock Origi, Alberto Moreno, Moanes Dabour
A round-up of Liverpool transfer rumours, with moves reported for Divock Origi and Alberto Moreno, plus a possible incoming.
Divock Origi is expected to remain at Anfield by the end of the January transfer window, according to Jurgen Klopp, reports Liverpool Echo.
The Belgian scored in Monday night’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup but has barely played for the club this season – although he did score the winner in the Merseyside derby before Christmas.
However, with Dominic Solanke’s departure depleting Klopp’s reserves in attack, the Reds boss is said to be keen on retaining the services of Origi until the summer at least.
Ben Woodburn, who is currently enduring a tough loan spell at Sheffield United, could be on his way to West Bromwich Albion according to the Daily Mirror.
The Wales international is said to be wanted by the Baggies because they are gearing up to lose fellow loanee Harvey Barnes, who is reportedly being recalled by Leicester City after impressing in the first half of the season in the Championship.
The newspaper also reports a number of other second-tier clubs are in the market for the 19-year-old.
Alberto Moreno has reportedly told Liverpool he intends to run his contract down and return to former club Sevilla in the summer. according to The Sun.
The full-back has barely featured for the club since Andy Robertson broke into the team last season, starting only four Premier League games since the start of 2018.
Last month, he said: „I am in my fifth year here, there is no agreement on a renewal and in January I am free to listen to any offer.“
Red Bull Salzburg forward Moanes Dabour is a target for Liverpool during the January window, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The Israeli striker scored 29 times in the Austrian top flight last season as they reached the Europa League semi-finals, while Fulham are also said to be interested in the 26-year-old.
