Bayern Munich: Mathys Tel becomes club’s youngest scorer but Stuttgart claim late draw – European round-up

Mathys Tel became Bayern Munich’s youngest goalscorer but a Herculian effort from Stuttgart earned them a late 2-2 draw in the Bundesliga on Saturday at the Allianz Arena.

But Julian Nagelsmann’s side were punished for not putting the game to bed.

A strong run from Konstantinos Mavropanos allowed Chris Fuhrich to level with a confident finish across goal – his second in as many Bundesliga games.

Parity was restored for just three minutes as quick feet from Jamal Musiala created space for a low drive into the bottom corner to restore Bayern’s lead.

Deep into stoppage time, however, De Ligt caught Guirassy as he prepared to take a shot. Referee Christian Dingert awarded the penalty with the help of VAR having consulted a pitchside monitor, and Guirassy stepped up to dispatch his spot-kick beyond Manuel Neuer.

Bayern remain unbeaten at the top of the Bundesliga ahead of the remaining weekend fixtures but the result means they have won just three of their six league games. Stuttgart move up to 13th on five points.

In Serie A earlier on Saturday, a late Giacomo Raspadori strike was enough to secure a 1-0 home win for Napoli over Spezia.
