Fury determined to reign supreme. Tyson Fury intends to emulate Wladimir Klitschko and dominate the heavyweight division.
Ukrainian great Klitschko was the undisputed king of the ring during the early part of the century and holds the record for the longest combined world championship reign.
Klitschko spent 12 years as a heavyweight world champion until he lost his belts to Fury in November 2015.
Undefeated Fury bounced back from issues away from the ring to become a two-time world champion in February after beating American rival Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.
The 31-year-old is scheduled to face Wilder for a third time later this year before potentially taking on fellow Brit Anthony Joshua in a blockbuster unification fight to decide an undisputed heavyweight king.
Joshua is the current IBF, WBA and WBO title holder, while Fury holds the WBC belt after his seventh-round stoppage of Wilder three months ago.
Fury believes that even if he didn’t step into the ring again his legacy as the best heavyweight of his era was secure.
Former champ Klitschko didn’t retire until he was 40 and at nine years his junior, Fury has no intention of stepping aside just yet as he targets world domination.
„I’ve achieved more than any active heavyweight alive today,“ he told Sky Sports. „No-one can come close to what I’ve achieved.
„I’m happy with where I am in my career and what I’m doing. If I never have another boxing fight, I’ll be happy. I’ve completed the game.
„Nothing to prove to anybody. Not one thing to prove at all, but I box now because I love boxing and I’ve been doing it all my life. Why walk away when I’m still only young?“
