Chris Hughton says Brighton are looking to sign young players that they can develop.
The Seagulls completed the signing of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who is 20-years-old, from Argentinos Juniors last week and have let seven players leave in the January transfer window – five on loan and two exiting permanently.

Brighton boss Hughton said he is „delighted“ with the strength of his current first-team squad and is unlikely to bring in any high-profile players on Deadline Day, but admitted the club may look to recruit players for their U23 side.
He said: „We didn’t feel that we would do anything at senior level, but we have an academy that that is growing and the prospect of bringing in some young players into that U23 group – or young players that we can develop – is, you know, it’s always been a thought of ours.
„As a club we are trying to develop and of course develop players that are coming through the system but also to develop young players that we can we can bring into the system.
„Our thoughts approaching this one was that we didn’t need to do any [first-team] business.
„I’m delighted [with Brighton’s squad]. And I can tell you now, if I felt that we needed to do something I would have been pushing and I would have made sure that we can’t take any chances.
„For us, it’s very much making sure we stay in this division. We’re close to a full squad and a full squad means a competitive squad.“
