Manchester United’s Eric Bailly and Marcus Rashford injured during Chelsea clash
Manchester United duo Eric Bailly and Marcus Rashford both suffered injuries in the second half of Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.
The Ivory Coast international was forced off the pitch after a collision with Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the 68th minute.
The 25-year-old defender fell to the turf clutching his right knee as the pair battled for the ball.
United striker Rashford had also limped off minutes before, and was replaced by fellow forward Alexis Sanchez.
A stretcher was initially brought over to take Bailly off the Old Trafford pitch, but medical staff then helped the defender off the field to receive further treatment.
Bailly was replaced by Marcos Rojo, who came on to make only his fifth Premier League appearance of the season.
For the away side, Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger was also injured during the game and was replaced by Andreas Christensen during the second 45 minutes.
