Should Mane leave Anfield? Former Fulham, Leicester and Celtic shooter Diomansi Camara has expressed the opinion that his compatriot, Sadio Mane, must leave Liverpool if he is to win the Golden Ball.
Over the last year, Mane has shown phenomenal form and has been a major contributor to Liverpool’s success, including the Champions League triumph, but still only ranked fourth in France’s prestigious 2019 Individual Football Rankings.
„If Mane wants to win the Golden Ball one day, maybe he should leave Liverpool. In my opinion, he could have won the prize in 2019, but he still needs to continue on his path. Now, Mane must continue. „We could see that he and Mohammed Salah took fewer points than Virgil van Dyke and were on par with him,“ Kamara told ESPN.
Mane is one of Liverpool’s key figures this season, having 18 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. The 27-year-old blade is on track to help the Merseyside win their first ever Premier League title since 1990.
Currently, the Reds are convincing leaders in the 25-point standings against Man City and need only two successes in the remaining nine rounds to secure the gold medals.
