Slaven Bilic interested in Celtic manager’s job
Former West Ham and Croatia manager Slaven Bilic would be interested in talking to Celtic, if they decide against offering Neil Lennon a longer-term deal, Sky Sports News understands.
Lennon was given a short-term contract until the end of the season after Brendan Rodgers left for Leicester in February.
He has since helped Celtic win the Scottish Premiership title – their eighth in a row – and could yet secure a historic treble-treble with victory over Hearts in the Scottish Cup final on May 25.
Bilic has been out of work since being sacked by Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad in February, having won three of his 15 matches.
The 50-year-old spent two-and-a-half seasons with West Ham and led the club to their best Premier League points tally in what was their final campaign at the Boleyn Ground, finishing seventh on 62 points and securing a place in the Europa League.
He was sacked in November 2017 following a poor start to the campaign with West Ham in the relegation zone.
Bilic previously enjoyed success with the Croatia national team, leading them to the quarter-finals at Euro 2008 and helping to bring through players such as Luka Modric.
