Bernardo Silva ‘happy’ at Manchester City and ignoring Barcelona links
Bernardo Silva insists he is fully committed to Manchester City and is ignoring reports linking him with Barcelona.
The Portugal midfielder was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award after scoring seven goals and providing as many assists in 34 Premier League matches this season.
Silva, who joined City from Monaco in the summer of 2017 for a fee understood to be around £43m, was rewarded for his excellent season with a new contract in March which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.
When asked about speculation linking him with a move to the Nou Camp, the 24-year-old told Portuguese newspaper Record: „I do not think about it.
„I just renewed my contract with Manchester City, and after this season I have another three years of my contract.
„I am very happy in Manchester.“
Silva will win his second successive Premier League title with Manchester City if they win their remaining two matches.
