Official: Penev takes the lead of Tsarsko Selo. El Goreador will lead the Kings in the games until the end of this campaign.
Tsarsko Selo has officially announced the appointment of Luboslav Penev as a senior coach of the team. The former Bulgarian national selection will lead the team in his matches until the end of this campaign, replacing Nikola Spasov, who left by mutual agreement.
Penev was out of work after parting with CSKA Sofia in early May 2019. Previously, El Goreador worked in Valencia’s second team, and was home to Litex and Botev Plovdiv in his native elite. Former Atletico Madrid striker achieved his biggest success in 2011 when he led Litex to the title.
„I think it was the best choice we could make. Lyuboslav Penev knows the team very well. We are convinced of his qualities,“ said Tsarsko Selo Executive Director Ivo Andreevski on the occasion of Penev’s appointment.
Tsarskoe Selo made his debut in the native elite echelon during this campaign. The team is fighting for its survival, ranking 11th in the standings four points higher than the penultimate Dunav Ruse
