Real Madrid have confirmed that Gershon Yabusele is no longer part of the squad
Real Madrid have officially parted ways with one of their key figures, Gershon Yabusele. The French basketball player will continue his NBA career with the Philadelphia team, the club announced the news on its official website. This departure represents a significant change for the Whites, as Yabusele was one of the main players in the squad.
At 28, Yabusele already has NBA experience after spending two years with the Boston Celtics between 2017 and 2019. During that span, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 74 games. After completing this stage of his career, Yabusele headed to China and later moved to Europe where he first signed with ASVEL and in 2021 joined Real Madrid.
Yabusele also excelled at the Paris Olympics, where he averaged 14.0 points and 3.3 rebounds. He played an important role in the successes of the French team, especially in the matches against Canada and Germany in the elimination phase.
With Real Madrid, Yabusele achieved significant success, including the EuroLeague title in the 2022/23 season, two Liga Endesa championship trophies and winning the Spanish Super Cup three times. Now, with his transition to the NBA, a new challenge is ahead in the career of the talented basketball player.
