Tom Ince: David Wagner inspired Huddersfield move
Tom Ince says David Wagner’s brand of football was one of the main reasons why he decided to sign for newly-promoted Premier League side Huddersfield.

„When we played against Huddersfield last year, for me, home and away, the way they played with the extra detail that you can see the manager instils in the players to do the jobs and to attack, and it is not something you see very often in the Championship,“ Ince told Sky Sports News HQ.
„The Championship is very much for a 100 miles per hour type of game, end to end type of stuff. They were by far the best team we played last year, for me being at Derby.
„The way he played suited me, I felt. It is not similar but along the same lines as how Steve McClaren played, that expansive attacking football, wanting his forward players to have freedom to play and that’s what suits me down to the ground.
„Not only that but his desire and passion to continue his style and his ideas at the top level.“
Ince says Wagner’s attitude and style of management will give him confidence going into games in the upcoming season and believes the only pressure Huddersfield players will feel is the pressure they put on themselves.
„When you get that opportunity from a manager who feels that you can bring something to the team, he wants to improve me as a player, I want to improve myself as a player,“ he added.
„When you get a feeling like that from a manager, it automatically gives you confidence and that enthusiasm to go out there and play with no pressure and no things on your mind about being, ‘I can’t, I’m afraid to do this or afraid to do that’ and there’s no better opportunity than to do that in this team, going into the unknown.
„There is no expectation or pressure, only upon ourselves in the changing room to prove people wrong again, and it was something that I couldn’t turn down, I had to be a part of it.“
